Spectator Safety
Who is this course for?
This level 2 qualification in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (QCF) is for individuals who are currently working or are seeking employment in Event Stewarding / Spectator Safety industry.
Course Content:
The EDI level 2 in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events contains the following units:
- How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning.
- How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events.
- How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events.
- How stewards prepare for spectator events.
Assessment and Certification.
This qualification is assessed through multiple choice tests and assessment tasks. Certificates will be issued on successful completion of the course by the awarding body and a1 Training.
What are the benefits of this programme?
This course provides candidates with the underpinning knowledge, required by the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, (Green Guide). It also enables the steward to work alone, however this must be followed by further training assessment within 12 months.
